Those who contract COVID-19 are said to develop certain digestive problems that could also be associated with other illnesses.
A study published in the European Journal of Gastroenterology and Hepatology involved a total of 21 studies with 5285 patients. It was found: The severe rate of COVID-19 patients with diarrhea was 41.1%. For abdominal pain, the severe rate was 59.3%; for nausea, 41.4%, for vomiting, 51.3%.
"Abdominal pain was associated with a near 2.8-fold increased risk of severe COVID-19," claimed the study.
